A subsidised ½ day Court of Experts Event which
will take place in Portlaoise on Mentoring and Evaluating Continuous
Improvement Projects. This is an area that has received serious
debate within the Court of Experts membership in the last year and there seems
to be a need to validate the best practice approaches adopted by industries in
Ireland. This workshop will hopefully act as a catalyst for further
discussions.

Don has over 15 years experience in change management
and business excellence using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and Philip Crosby
techniques in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing areas. He is currently
employed as an Operational Excellence Manager in a top healthcare company; has
over 20 years experience in the automotive industry and spent 2 years working
in Japan in his formative years.
Don is a very experienced coach having
delivered training to over 400 staff in general Lean awareness techniques; conducted
various Kaizen activities; implemented Balanced Scorecard systems and coached
at Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt levels. He has been instrumental in
supporting the delivery of over €6m savings in Lean Six Sigma projects
including change control; shipping; customer complaint handling; warranty and
scrap; invoice processing; electronic Kanbans; line balancing and inventory
control.

application and continuous improvements within the organization. Presenter Profile: Laura-Lee Branco is a Lean Specialist
for Tim Hortons Inc (THI). She has 6 years experience in the field of
Human Resources and Lean, with THI and Hatch Engineering focusing on
recruitment and selection and business processes improvements. Laura-Lee
holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western. She has received a Gold Award for her
Lean Green Belt work through the Institute of Industrial Engineers. In
addition, she has instructed “Training & Development” post-grad course at
Sheridan College. Laura-Lee has spent the last two years implementing
Lean systems thinking, facilitation of Kaizens, and stabilization of improvements
within the New Product Innovation & Introduction processes. Laura-Lee
holds a CHRP and is a member of the HRPA.
